Dr. Aghi is a board certified pediatric dentist and has worked with our pediatric dental office since 2011.
Dr. Aghi grew up in the San Fernando Valley, where she graduated with honors from the California State University, Northridge. She received her D.M.D. from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 2000 and then completed a general practice residency program in Manchester, New Hampshire. Following her residency, Dr. Aghi worked in a pediatric dental practice in Exeter, New Hampshire for five years. It was here that she realized her passion was treating children. Dr. Aghi completed her residency program in pediatric dentistry at the University of California, San Francisco where she served as chief resident and received a clinical certificate in Pediatric dentistry in addition to a Master’s Degree in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences.
Dr. Aghi’s connections to the Academic environment enables her to combine clinical practice with the latest research regarding prevention of dental disease. Dr. Aghi is an Assistant Professor and Clinic Director at the UCSF School of Dentistry, Pediatric Dental Division where she devotes 2 days a week teaching residents and students the art of pediatric dentistry. Dr. Aghi also serves on the board of the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry whose mission is to advocate for children.
Dr. Aghi’s husband Manish is a neurosurgeon at UCSF. They have two daughters, Riya (8) and Shreya (4). Dr. Aghi enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her family.
Dr. Rayman graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in 1971 and completed a residency program in pediatric dentistry at the Jewish Hospital and Medical Center of Brooklyn, New York in 1973. Prior to opening his pediatric dental practice in San Rafael in 1980, Dr. Rayman was a full-time professor at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry.
Dr. Rayman is a Diplomate of the American College of Pediatric Dentists, a Fellow and member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentists, a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy and a member of the American and California Dental Associations and the Marin County Dental Society. He has a long history of activity in professional and community organizations. Dr. Rayman teaches in the College of Marin Dental Assisting Program and is an invited speaker at dental continuing education courses.
Dr. Rayman enjoys bicycle riding, listening to and playing music, vintage cars, photography, studying the history of dentistry (when you visit the office, ask to see the cabinets with his collection of dental memorabilia items), reading and spending time with his wife Naomi, a blogger at WritesBetterWithCoffee and their two grown sons and their families who reside in Brooklyn, where Dr. Rayman was born.
Dr. Kaitlin Rodriguez was born and raised in sunny St. Petersburg, Florida. Growing up, she was inspired to pursue pediatric dentistry by her very own pediatric dentist!
Dr. Kaitlin graduated Cum Laude from the University of Florida with a degree in Integrative Biology. Ready for a new adventure, she moved across the country to San Francisco where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, San Francisco. While at UCSF, she spent time giving back to the community, both locally and abroad. Dr. Rodriguez volunteered at the annual Give Kids a Smile Day, participated in numerous elementary school dental screening events, and traveled on a mission trip to Ensenada Mexico, providing dental care to local underserved populations.
Dr. Kaitlin went on to attend the University of California, San Francisco for her Pediatric Dental Residency training program and for her Master’s in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences. While in residency, she served as Sedation Chief and was selected as a Santos Cortez Graduate Student Legislative Intern for the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry. As legislative intern, Dr. Rodriguez traveled to Sacramento and Washington DC to lobby state and federal legislators about the needs in pediatric dentistry.
Dr. Kaitlin’s husband is a general dentist, practicing in downtown San Francisco and they are proud to call the Bay Area their home! In her spare time, Dr. Rodriguez enjoys volunteering with the Jr League, skiing, backpacking, hiking, yoga, cooking, and international travel!
Dr. Aghi and Dr. Kaitlin have known each other for many years through UCSF. We are proud to have her join our office in June 2018 to deliver the excellent preventative dental care for your child.
Our staff has been with us for 10+ years allowing for a continuity of care for our patients.
Rachel, our Office Manager, is a Bay Area native and has resided in Marin for the past 30 years. Rachel has been in the Medical Management role since 2006. Rachel has worked in the financial/management aspect of several medical practices and dental field for the past several years. She lives in San Rafael and loves spending her free time with her two kids Victoria and Anthony and her pets.
Velincia is a Registered Dental Assistant who completed her Dental Assisting Program at C.O.M in June 2004. She joined our team then, 13 years ago. Velincia lives in San Rafael with her husband and family. She has 2 grown daughters and 2 grand-children. She loves church, children and singing in the choir. Velinica often works with our highly anxious or special needs patients. She has the patience of a saint and many of our patients request her for every office visit.
Jennifer is our Scheduling Coordinator. She was born and raised in South Africa. Jennifer moved to San Diego, CA, in 1979, where she became a Registered Dental Assistant. She lives in Mill Valley with her husband and much loved pups Zulu and Thandi. Her children are now grown up. Jennifer loves to hike, do yoga, as well as spend time with family and friends.
Colleen is a lifelong Marin County resident and completed the College of Marin Dental Assisting Program in 1992. Since then, she has been working as a Registered Dental Assistant in Dr. Rayman’s office. Colleen lives in San Anselmo with her sons Nick and Brandon. She enjoys traveling, hiking and spending time with family and friends.
Monica is a Registered Dental Assistant. A 1990 graduate of the Contra Costa College Dental Assisting Program, she has worked in our office since 1991. Monica lives in American Canyon with her husband Joe and children, Jakeila and Jomon, and her granddaughter Jayahna. Monica enjoys being with her family, studying the Bible, eating husband Joe’s barbeque, cooking, dining at any restaurant serving great crab and watching movies.
Sylvia is our Business Assistant who is here 5 days a week to answer your questions regarding insurance, billing or to help schedule your children. She has been a Registered Dental Assistant since 1987 and has managed dental practices in the past. Sylvia is married and enjoys gardening and pet sitting her many furry friends.
Lia is a Registered Dental Assistant. She began working with us in 2015. Her sweet demeanor is loved by the little ones! She's a foodie who enjoys traveling and trying new things. Lia plans on staying with us for the long term so that her bio will one day say she has been with us for over 20 years!
